Yea i agree with alot thats been said already here. I'm with Captious on this one, no need for the allin on the flop, especially with the fact that in normal circumstances your only going to be called by a hand that beats you like a set or an overpair. He took a gamble and got lucky though. nothing you can really do there.
Personally i would have re-raised preflop, looking at the position of the raiser. Plus i would have found out where exactly i stood in the hand (if i was re-raised i was looking at AK minimum, but probably a pair higher then tens). However, if he just calls, your more likely looking at high cards such as KQ or a lower pair then 10's. This would allow you to read the flop texture more acuurately. In your situation, i would have bet 3/4 of the pot on the flop and then continued on the turn, not committing myself compeltly in the event of a re-raise, from which you can make a decision based on your read. |
