Cali likes to make this sort of plays. Sometimes she gets lucky, the other 97% of the time she loses.

Ohhhh he's made a few.....fortunately I've been on the receiving end of some of them......Kaart likes to bully which is just so damn easy to exploit.....twice I think he has busted me out, out of quite a few games.....Once with 42o (my hand) and once heads up........although the best one I can remember busting him out of was on Dream (oh what a game) four left I was table short stack...kaart started giving it the big "I am" (he was CL) and making comments like "lets bust out the short stack" blah, blah, blah........only to be busted out by me on the bubble....to which I went on to win.

People rate kaart as a good player....whereas I consider his game the easiest to work out on the forum.....put me up against Fink, Ref, Ben, Fonz, NBK or letters and I really find myself thinking about my game....whereas with kaart it's just as simple as waiting for the right moment to call his overly aggressive bluff.......

This is not just one bad play. You seem to make a move like this often which means there is big hole in your poker.

I see women make a move like this many times. Play tight all tournament long and then all of a sudden CALL an All In because they don't want to be bullied anymore. It's funny when you suck out once or twice but all the other times you will lose.

I have made worse plays than that and more of them

I think its gutsy of you to throw this hand out there for a thread and open yourself to ridicule.Theres things to learn from hands like this, they dont have to always be winning hands or bad beats that teach.

If you were to ask me if I would play that hand that way,I would say no.

But if you were to ask me if I had done it before ,I would say yes.

great point xtra. I think people are giving Cali too much of a hard time for this. DO YOU HONESTLY THINK SHE THINKS THIS IS A GOOD PLAY????

All these comments about how she is such a bad player and that you would not have made the same play are ludicrous. This was meant to be a fun thread showing that we do it to people as well, we dont just get bad beats, we give em. So she made a bad move, so what? Why rdicule someone about something that the ALREADY KNOW. ITs absolutely absurd how much she is getting put down for this.

Personally, I like threads like this, she is showing us something out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, I doubt anyone else will ever post a hand like this because they will get smothered with criticism.

Cali, you are a good player and I hope all these people downing you doesnt affect your game. Play how you play, theres a reason you make money playing poker, and it aint always luck.

In the hand Kaart displays, you just have to realize who she is up against and his particular style of play. I'm sure that he gets called with junk hands more than anyone here at the forum, who have played against him. When he has the goods, like in this instance, he wins a big pot. Most of the time his raises will force a fold, and sometimes he will bluff and get caught. Although Cali was making a bold move, she has the reputation for tight solid play, and Kaart may have folded, if not for having the monster he had. The only problem I see, is going all-in instead of re-raising, and making a play like that so early in the tourny.

This is a little over the top don't ya' think bud......please show me where all these posts are that made you feel that your post is warranted.....Don't get me wrong I'm not saying there are a bunch of people saying great play, well done just it's more of a case of members criticising the hand and the play.....not the player.....maybe one member having a pop at Calli herself but then at least it's still related to the thread and who pays attention to kaart anyway....???

I believe I was the first one to put down the play after a couple of nice one, well done posts and I just didn't feel regardless who made the play that it could be justified with a well done so I criticised the play as after all it has been posted in the HH room for all to see and comment on.

Let's look at this the other way a new member comes on and see the HH that Calli has posted and as to them she will look like a established member and as the 2 following posts after hers were well done etc.....Now does this newbie reading it go away safe in the knowledge that these plays are acceptable or are they like us privy to the fact that Calli is in fact a good player who was merely posting a hand to make us chuckle and maybe comment on.

This is an extreme case, however the hand was posted and has caused more debate than most other HHs posted.....so this is a good thing for all involved in the discussion whether you agree with the play or not.......(it's so much better than seeing my Aces busted by there kings blah, blah, blah.).

In all honesty bud your post would be more likely to prevent me from commenting on someone's hand history again....than posting a daft ass play come good HH and getting the kind of comments Calli's did.....I think I also said a while back that this is a great HH to of posted because of the debate it has caused.....there's been no name calling (unless in humour) and no bad comments made only constructive ones IMO.

If a member wants to single out a specific situation that they are in knowledge of happening before then surely the point they are making is aimed at the original poster to ask for them to comment further on either there style or there thought process when they are making these plays.

None of my business really I suppose just found your post to be the most off putting one in here......sorry mate, just did.

This one comment however I find a little offensive or just too general....I thought long and hard about my response to the original post that Calli made (because it was Calli some one I both like and respect....some newbie posted it I would have been far more critical) and I was in no way putting Calli down however I was the play as I think you will find was really the case with most of the posts posted in this thread.....Calli is as you have more that stated aware of this being a somewhat dubious play....So why would any of these comments affect her game.....makes no sense to me at all this final statment!!

Once again sorry bud....no dis-respect meant towards you, only ya' post!

Im glad everyone enjoyed the thread topic. Yes it was a lil embarressing to post it but I had good intentions. Like I said I know it was a bad play on my part and I know really play like this never pays off. I think everyone should at one time or another post a bad Hand History of theirs instead of all the good ones.. right?
