Ouch. I think you have a couple elements going on here.

1. It's a $5.50 SNG and you're rolling the dice at games with these stakes.

2. Some guys get married to their higher pocket pairs (JJ+).

I've been guilty of #2 myself but I think I would have re-raised all-in preflop and lost my chips respectfully... lol

It's tough not to over-rate pocket pairs. I said in another thread that pocket pair is only just that, a pair.

It's not Cakepoker, i think the game at pokerstars is much better and they respect a raise, the game suits me much better at Pokerstars. That's probably why my BR there goes steady up and at cake it's ALOT up and ALOT down.

I don't think it's like rolling the dice at the $5.50 SNGs, it usually is decent play not like the higher and our forum games but i only find like 1-2 donks in a full table. Not like Cake, where it is 4-5, or is it just that the cards hit in another way at Cake?

I've never played Cake, do they allow Americans?

For my experience, the $10 and below games at PS get a little random. I think the quality of play at $10 has gotten better but I'm scared of the $5.

There's some big hitters that play $20. Gotta bring your "A" game for that one.

Way I see it is, you could have done 3 things on the flop, slow play, put him all in expecting a fold, or play him for a sucker to get more out of him. Looks to me like you were doing the third. So you got your wish. The sucker stayed in. So apart from the poker fairy being her usual sadistic self on the river, what's the problem? Suckers are suckers, what does it matter why, unless you'll be playing they guy regulalry.

A PS $5 sng he played it smart. 1) there was the poss str8 on the flop. and the 4 card flush. 600 was a good feeler. 2) he did right to put him all-in after the turn seeing it did not help eitherof the possibilities to 1.

PS $5 SnG are a crap shoot. they bet with nothing and hit on turn and/or river on a regular basis. I'll stick to the brick n mortar games.

Basically a gutshot straight and he would need runner runner to hit the flush, with 2 over cards on the board,a bad play.

The thing is it's true if you look into Cakepoker cashgame and some other tournies there aswell. Dunno if you have any experience of cakepoker but Pokerstars is more calm and some better poker IMO.
