Down to 5 in a tourney. I am in second chip position and on the button, so I bet $65,000 with A7o. I got called by the chip leader. I feel a bit shaky with my moderately weak ace, but after the flop comes AA7, I know I got the nuts and the smile widens. He check-raised me all in, and I couldnt get my chips in fast enough. I felt proud when the software turned up my boat, especially when I saw his pocket jacks :-) I knew he needed running jacks to administer the worst beat in the history of poker. What do you think happened? Yep....... BAM, BAM........ Turn was the Jd, river Jc... I went from taking a massive chip lead to being out in 5th place. It was, to this day, and will forever be, the worst beat I ever took. That is the one and only time I\'ve ever lost a pot when flopping a full house. Thankfully though, the guy who administered the beat down didnt win the tourney either. What are ya gonna do? Given that hand 1,000 more times, I\'d play it the same way each and every one of them :-)

This just came during the first hour of a rebuy period, hence the loose preflop play.

Here's another that just happened to me. I think my opponent had less than 4% chance of winning after the flop. This was a $10 10-minute level tourney. At this point, people were going all-in fairly frequently, and I was quite confident in my hand. I pumped my fist after the flop only to see it get counterfeited.

I just need to vent after this one. I know the odds wouldn't say this is a "bad beat" by any measure, I only had roughly 60% chance of winning before the flop, but the context in which the hand came in makes it so much worse.

This ended up being a $38,100 chip pot when the blinds were only 300/600 and the average stack was just 6000. It was a turbo MTT, so I knew people would be desperately pushing. I had been sitting pretty the entire tournament. I got good cards, played them well, got others to committ all of their chips when I was ahead, and I won the pots. I never sucked out and no one had sucked out on me to that point.

As far as this hand goes, I was excited to get some action on my aces. A player went all-in before me. I just called, but maybe I should have pushed all-in. I don't think it would have stopped the other two from joining though because the guy with 77, who had a very nice stack as well, had been playing like a moron. He had been throwing his chips all over the place with weak hands. Losing when he was behind, then winning other pots by sucking out, constantly risking more chips than he should.

If anyone reads this, was there anything I could or should have done differently in this hand? Can I fold this when it came back to me with three players already all-in? I know AA isn't a huge favorite when it's up against any three random hands, but it will still always be a favorite no matter what.

Oh, and the very next hand, I got TT and lost to A4o just to make me feel even worse.
