Default Favourite Poker Hands

As Doctor Nick would say "Hey Everybody"

Thought it would be a laugh for everyone to post their favorite "Stupid" hand.

Obviously the hand we always like to look down and see is Pocket Rockets or A K Suited (which some of you might not know is actually harder to hit than rockets, 0.3% chance of hitting AK suited with a 0.5% chance of flopping Aces, just learded that the other day so i thought i would share) but everyone has those two cards that always temp them to see a flop when they really shouldn't, and everyone usually has a story behind this, so i'l start off..............

Jc 7c, to be honest i can remember if my intial love for this had was suited as clubs, but anytime i see that start up hand i see myself smiling and calling anything (Within Reason), when i first started out playing on my first site "William Hill" (Hasn't even got a sign up bonus and i still use it lol, more fool me), i was adding usually about £10-£20 every few days and losing it without ever even doubling through once, i then came home drunk one night as we do, and added £110 as i had seen the 10 player £100 buyin the previous day, so i signed up for one, and knowing i was drunk tried to play as tight as i could, but anyimte i played i pot i ended up bluffing my ass off as i would never hit. anyways top 3 get payed £500 £300 £200, i managed to bluff my way to the final three was i was the slight chip lead, and tried to play this ot my advantage, i raised their blinds twice in a row and they folded, so i was climbing high, then the the blinds came round to them again and i was dealt J 7 so this for some stupid reason i went all in, i got called with one guy hitting tens and the other A K offsuit, flop came somthing like 10 9 2, turn 6, flop 8, i couldn't believe it i had won £500, was my first big win, and i bought a new PS2 with my winnings(after kicking my other one accross the room when i lost the league on the last game of the season in Pro Evo.

Anywayz, let me know your favorite "Stupid" hands and why you have them.

My favorite stupid hand is QT suited or not (though I prefer it suited). it's certainly a trouble hand so I dont know why I like it so much but it has been good to me in making straights and full houses alot.

In one tournament I had the same thing happen to me twice. I was in late position with a short stack in the BB. I raised and tried to steal the blinds. The guy in the BB moves all in. Now he doesnt have enought to really hurt me, or enough to really fold after my raise. Im pretty much pot committed so I call. I end up flopping two pair and winning.
Then not more than an hour later in the same tourny. The exact same thing happens with the exact same hand, and I flop 2 pair again.

The hand.....52o......LOL.....

I went on to do fairly well in that tourny, but couldnt beleive I knocked 2 people out with 52o......so now I kind of like that hand.....even though I dont play it much.....

52o is a good one for me too. I've had 2 pair quite often, and even flopped a full house with it the other day. Good times!

Funnily enough, I also like 5-2 and 4-3 etc (soooted of course!) It's a pile of crap really I know but I'd raise with em short-handed if things are going well.

I like those rare occasions when 32o is folded to the BB, just so I can show it to demonstrate that the only hand that was definitely losing (unless someone else had it) has just been given the blinds. Of course it's even better when it's called and you hit in terms of money, but I prefer the pleasure of knowing 9 people out there are kicking themselves.

That's something I never do RacingDog.
I show as little as possible in all cases. Usually the only time I'll ever show a hand is when I'm on a rush and taking pots and I'll maybe show a strong hand occasionally - 'look-I'm not bluffing you!' It says.

I don't like to show my BB if it's folded to me because it just reminds them that my BB is vunerable to a raise. I'd rather be able to check my BB sometimes than have to always defend it.

If someone shows me their BB, I just think - so what? - I have the knowledge that I did what I wanted to do with my hand and I really don't care what they were holding.

Not saying you're wrong to do so, but that's just the way I think about it.

maybe I give people too much credit, but it doesn't seem like showing my BB hand when everyone folded is going to affect anything. I usually only show big pairs just for fun and to lower my frustration level. Heads up or shorthanded I think it's possible to mess with people's heads a little showing you are on a rush or card dead.
