i needed some chips so i decided to play it slow on the flop to let him try and hit. was wonderin what you all thought of the check on the flop?

I love the check on the flop. The only thing I would have done differently is bet a tad bit less on the river so I could get paid off, I would bet around 150. Other than that you played the hand greatly in my opinion.

It would have made little difference on this hand. He didn't have much maybe pocket 2s. With his calls of your small bets, if you made a small bet on the flop he would have called so you might have gotten another 100 chips or so. Playing that way is risky. You letting him catch up in this situation could have cost you. I know we want to maximize the ammount of chips we can win with a big hand, but sometimes it will backfire.

ya i know, but i was willing to let him hit because he was very easy to read, he played strong when he was strong and weak when he was weak. if i saw a scare card and he bet big, i would have played it cautiously and folded. i have no problem folding AA if im sure im beat
