The first one's pretty pathetic at any level of play.
But then again, he was short stacked.

Sorry it happened to you, rw.
Unfortunately, it will happen.

I have always shouted "Fear the all in!" if a short-stack raises all in preflop.
but I have a problem taking my own advice

better luck next time, hon

i know rw...its getting pretty bad nowadays for us poker players....i mean i figure that online players will suffer more bb then the average real world player...just because we play more hands and the site deals so many hands per sec...despite that i refuse to believe that the numbers are correct meaning if a higher pair preflop is a 4:1 favorite we should win 80 % of the time right??? Wrong MAYBE 60% at most when im in that situation..anyways im about to keep track all the situation when im in a showdown for all my chips or their chips...ima due a month trial see what i come up with...and at the same time i can see what hands are profitable and which ones are not..one

I know exactly how your feeling rw. I have been going through the same thing the last 6 weeks or so. The relentless procession of bad beats or "unluckyness" have taken a toll on my psyche. It seems the only place I don't get them is at our THF league games. I don't mind losing hands that I make a bad decision on or having my Aces cracked by another player catching a set when up against another PP. But when you have your opponent dominated due to some ridiculous bad call and he needs runner runner or a one or two outer and he catches it, makes me crazy. The cash buy in tourneys I 've played in lately, are being played like free-rolls. Players willing to risk all thier chips on nothing more than luck, and I hate playing that way. You make the right reads, make the right bets and the other guy puts you all-in after the turn and <5% to win and catches to knock you out. Its sickening how often BAD play get rewarded on online sites, and it has only been getting worse. I wittnessed one of your bad beats on Sunday, which was why I told you to join the League game where at least your playing against players that know how to play. I don't know what the answer is. I'm a better player now that a year or two ago, but win less because of "unluckyness" and its very frustrating.

Know what you guys mean, been there, done that, got the tee shirt. It's the sort of scenario that gives the "it's fixed" theorists amunition. I know it isn't fixed, but during my worst run of suck outs I was willing to be convinced, (and I don't play that site any more, so maybe I was convinced for a while).

ref - man, ill tell ya that is exaclty how its been for me. i cant escape it. i can honestly get my money in with a 90% chance to win and i will lose somehow, its absolutely ridiculous. like you said, the only time i have done well was in both league games i played last week. i hope it looks up for both of us soon ref, gl bud.
