yeh, his raise did scare me but I just decided I couldnt put him on the flush.
My thinking was that - he'd had two opportunities to take the pot or build a pot.
A made high flush was my main concern. If I did put him on a high flush then I might of expected a raise preflop from late. I also thought that there was a good possibility, that if he had made a big flush, he would encourage a call on the river rather than drop the hammer on me.
If he has made a lower flush on the flop then I might of expected him to bet, he doesn't want to see another heart on the flop or turn.
I hold the nut-straight with the river to come, so a straight isnt a worry. His raise caught me by suprise but all I could put him on was two pair, the lower straight, or a combination of A2/A3 etc with nut-flush draw. At the time I thought it was either those or he's stealing with outs to the straight/flush/straight flush.
Well that was my thinking anyway...still unsure whether it was the right call in the circumstances.
Other opinions welcome.
