Was their call right no of course not obviously they were trying to buy the pot. Should you have called? Thats debatable in some cases yes and no how was this person playing, loose or tight? I may be wrong on this but I think you shoulda folded reason being I have seen too many times when I have AKos AQos whatever the combo and not catch. I don't know what you had as far as chips but I think it shows you as all in. One thing to look at is this player could have had any combination for a pair. You need to take that into consideration the next time you have a hand such as that one, believe me it's not easy to lay down hell I am starting to lay down pkt prs pre-flop even when blinds are say 25-50. Someone on here told me something once that made me think and I think it goes like this It's better to fold the winning hand than lose the winning hand. I think thats wrong but thats whats in my head for some reason maybe doesn't make sense the way I put it..lol. But do you see what I am getting at? Keep your head up and don't let it get you down plus if this was a freeroll you need to understand that this happens a lot. Good luck at the tables.

THF Player of the Year
Yeh I agree with what chris said. It's a big gamble here. You might wish to take the gamble at the beginning of an MTT (freeroll?) and build a big stack - that's up to you, but you can't complain if you lose here.

You have a nice stack in relation to the blinds, you are very comfortable here and can play your game. You have no need to get involved - just fold it and lose 150 chips, instead of risking your tournament on what looks to be a coin flip or worse.

I think that you have to think you're probably losing here( some might not agree) and like chris said, any pocket pair and you're behind (you're in a mess if he's playing AA or KK)
Even if the villian is playing some suited connectors or something, you're not far ahead.
It's a ridiculous play from your opponent, but even with his silly Q6o he's still only about 2 to 1 against hitting a winner against your AKo.

I'm guessing the big blind is 50 chips here, and there is one caller. You have a strong hand and you would normally want to be making a decent preflop raise(possibly twice what you put in) - A decent raise either: narrows the field down and allows you to see a flop, or you win the pot there and then.

Is he coming into the pot with his stupid steal after you make a decent raise? It's unlikely - but then again - there are always idiots around.

If this was a freeroll then you should have just flipped a coin and decided cause you probably wouldnt have a clue as to what they were holding. In a real money tournament Ive seen this play a lot with small PP who are trying to take down the pot from two overcards. Anyone here who every played with Crapshoot will know what Im talking about. If thats the case your no more than 50/50 and you may want to think about laying it down here. People beleive in the power of AK way to much IMO.

It was a $4 SnG, I wasn't quite all in, but pretty close, think I had like $800 chips left. The guy had been playin pretty loose, gettin real lucky and beating better cards, I guess I just figured he was probably playin' a bad hand again and I'd take the chance, turns out he did have a bad hand, but I ended being another one of his victims...
