It's what, 2.5-1 for you to call? That's a perfectly fine call, even if you are only getting 2-1 (against this hand, overall I think about 2.5-1 is what you need to make up for the times you will be dominated).

pretty much pot committed - particularly at that level where they could have anything. I think you need more than pot odds in this type of situation though but with the decent chances that he had ax, kq or a pair less than aa (kk you have ok odds) you are clearly priced in.

The hand when I had kxs (last night) was more of a borderline

Even if you fold you are leaving yourself a chip stack that is less than 10 times the big blind and that is never an enviable position to be in. Even though big slick is a drawing hand, you are almost guaranteed to be in a coin flip situation unless your opponent is holding pocket kings or aces. In this hand, the jacks are ahead 56.65% to 42.95%. Combine that with the pot odds you were getting, I can't blame you for making the call.

With an M of 4.7 you have to push here as your first action. If you're going to call an all-in it's often best to go all-in yourself first.

You'd still have lost the hand but IMO and that of many others, pushing preflop would have been the right move here.
