ya, early in a tourney, even if you feel like you may be ahead, risking all ur chips with the blinds that low is not smart, they will play anything and theres a good chance ur beat. you werent, but you made the right play.

my only concern is the fact that you called preflop. a raise and 2 callers in front of you is cause for folding here. early in tourneys i hate playing mediocre hands with a lot of people in the pot. AJ isnt a very strong hand, it looks nice but with that many people in a raised pot, theres a good chance your way behind. i like raising with AJ but i hate calling with it.

My reasoning was that if someone held one of the hands that had me dominated, they would let me know post flop by raising any bets that I make. When my bet of 200 was merely called by 2 people, I figured I was up against a possible flush draw, and probably a KJ, etc. If I was raised at any point, I fold.

I'm probably folding preflop when someone raises and is cold called. AJo in EPin a multiway pot is a pretty poor hand. Since you played it your bet on the flop is very weak. You bet out 200 into a pot of 615 offering the next to act odds of better than 3/1. Anyone with a PP or a flush draw is almost getting the odds to call you and they'realmost certainly getting the implied odds as you've limp/called preflop and bet out here, thery think they can get your whole stack.

You then bet 400 into a 1215 pot again offering them 3/1 and begging them to call. Then on the river the pot is offering you 3/1 whilst holding 2 pair and you fold when you could easily be up against a hands like an overplayed AK or AK or a smaller PP. They've not played it like QQ+ and if they've hit their flush just fire up another game.

I'd have folded preflop but as you played I'd have bet the size of the pot on the flop and then probably pushed on the turn.

Very tough call looking at the flush hit and someone hit trips with that river card. But, i agree with mattastic. You bet big on the flop with top pair and top kicker. Then your in for the pot anyway. Not a bad flop for you to be in for the pot because your prolly up against a draw. and like mattastic said, if he hits the flush the next $1 or $2 tourney is coming up soon.

The one thing I noticed from this is how many people out there way overplay thier small pockets. Its a good hand to bluff with when you miss trips but otherwise alot of trouble.

When you have TP and TK after flop with a flushdraw there. I would bet alot more on the flop, thinking you have the best hand but most another club would absolutely be a fold card.

The pot is 600(?) after the flop i would probably bet 400 or maybe even 500, the pot is already good and you could end right there, same thing on the turn. The only hand you could put them on after the turn that beats you is 77, i wouldn't consider an overpair, even if the they raised on the flop.

The fold on the river is right cause it looks like they have the flush as they just call your bets. but you put yourself in that position IMO.

Thanks guys - I wasn't really considering how I was betting when I first looked over the hand history, as I figured 200 and 400 were solid bets since the big blind was only 30. Guess I'll have to work on that part of my game and make sure my bets are in relation to the pot from now on.
