What we looking at here bud......????

The $3 turbo's on stars are near no more or less than a luck fest that's why I stick to limit $3 turbo games horse ect.....the calling with the A6 is loose to say the least but they will go to the river with an ace in these games and to be fair by the turn he had outs.....and if he busts outs there's another game there for him straight away.

I would rather play $5 normal SNGs the extra investment is more than worth it IMO....As I say though bud, I may of missed the point altogether!

raise with Ax takes control of the pot preflop with no reraise. A continuation bet is definately warranted on this board. On the turn he picks up an pen ended straight draw with his ace.

His opponent only has 800 chips left.
The pot is 800 so I guess he's gonna put his opponent to the test for the rest of his chips and if he gets called... he still has live outs on the river... semi bluff. that's how I see it.

I think I repop with KK preflop.

Well Sonny, it just seemed like an interesting hand, as AuburnRox actually had no idea he was that far behind...after the hand he had apologized, o wow I got lucky, etc., etc. I was simply seeing what other members would think of the play by bart with his KK, what he could have done differently, and, other than the pre-flop call by Auburn, did he really make any terrible plays? You could say the call on the flop was meant to set up a bluff when the 9 hit (I've seen a number of pros do this with straight and flush draws on the board), or maybe he simply didn't believe that bart had anything (which also seems to be evident based on what he was saying after the hand). Any other ideas?

THF Player of the Year
Yeh it is an interesting one. I don't like A6's preflop call but also I think KK could of raised it better preflop. Take the hand preflop or get re-raised would be a stronger play with KK here I think.

The flop is looking pretty good for KK and is everyone happy with a half pot bet here? He's a chance to kill it right there.

A6's play- well like you said it's difficult to say he played the hand very badly postflop. It's his tournament at stake but he's ..oh..what...3 and a half to one if we say he's got 11 outs? It isnt such a bad play is it.

somepeople cannot fold ax and think ax is worth betting on post flop if they dont hit and will often fail to fold it despite strong evidence to suggest they are unlikely to win the hand. Its an odd phenominon but it is a pretty prevailent strategy for many at the lower levels.

If you can identify the players at the table who play in this sort of way it will definately improve your chances and solid play (nothing fancy is needed) should secure decent wins at these levels because so many of your opponents will fall on their swords. It isnt always the most fun poker though and I tend to stay away of these limits not for lack of profitability but because it is not as intellectually satisfying as playing at slightly higher levels.

I know this isnt the point of he post, but I have to disagree with this statement. You get so many people who play turbos who think that way,the opposite is a actually more true.Tight play works in turbos just for that reason.

I guess I said it wrong. Yes, of course you have to play tight, I meant that when you do get your hands, you have to play them hard and really make sure you get the most out of them, as it's even more important that you gain chips quickly in turbos than in normal tourneys, where blinds go up 3x more slow.
