Personally, I'm confused Sonny. Why would you call these raises when he is clearly showing strength. It's fairly early on in the tourney, so unless he's made a number of bluffs that get shown, I don't think you can put him on one. Looks to me like he has AJ or better.

well, maybe he had a good read and sensed weakness. its not ALL about mathematics and logic, sometimes ill play a semi-weak hand if i have a strong feeling about it. and you know, a lot of the times my strong feelings are right

Then are you saying next time I play you, if we have a similar flop and you are looking at raises from me you'll call with merely a pair?

I think, although I can more than see what you are saying hear Mars me' ole mate.....that the key point here is, I HAD THE WINNING HAND bud, in fact I was never losing and never felt like I was either.

I raise pre-flop, I don't get back raised until after the flop so what was he calling me with.....pkt 6s unlikely or just one 6maybe , AJ maybe again, being bluffed by the 6s, more than likely....I said in a thread a week or so ago about players that just continue the bluff throughout the hand......So I'm either a mile behind or way in front and If I'm really honest If I was bluffing the pot I would of pretty much of made the same plays as him only not so early on in the tourney.

Don't get me wrong I do see your point, however I was still riding my luck wave from winning/splitting in a $1050 sat and to be honest I really believed I was winning, I flopped TP and I felt the 6s were helping me out, not beating me......So many factors as to why people make the plays that they make

Lets not forget, I've never read a book so the only bad plays I make are ones that I believe are bad and not what some books says is bad......If I had been busted out by this hand I would still stand by my play so to me it wasn't a bad play regardless of Odds, % or EV......I believed strong enough that I was winning that I was willing to back it up with my chips.....Don't get me wrong I am more than aware that sometimes you have to pass the winning hand....however this wasn't one of them occasions IMHO .

Hey bud......been a while

I have still been bumming about on the shootout sats, yesterday however I allowed myself a big buy-in for my Christmas game so I went into the $27 double shootout which wins ya one ticket to the (NOW) $1050 Sunday million game as it was only a short field of 41 in a 64 player max game got down to the final 2 after playing the 2 games of my life.....my opponent had 6200chips I had 5800 as soon as we got HU he offered the split so we did a $550 - $500 split so the winner gets extra and he won it......So.

My girlfriend who never watches me play......did watch the $27 game last night and she enjoyed me playing/winning it so much she told me to go in a tourney that if I win it I can by a new car (lol) so I opted for the $50 and busted out lower than I ever have before....232 from 500 I believe.....but it was an experience.......The $50 was kinda for fun, I'm just glad I held my own and won at a $25 playing level

NB: Thanks btw all for the nice words of congrats/support
