I took a chance. There's been a lot of raising with Ax in this game. I know the risks here - things havnt been going my way lately, so frustration on my part possibly, I'd played 3 hands so far- it's a flip or worse. Would you say this it a really awful play...

Wouldnt call it awful,but may have been better calling.Leaves you with an option after the flop.

Thanks xtra. Yeh I think youre right. My raise was asking for a fold rather than a call and with that in mind I'm better off seeing a flop.

I seem to be losing my way at the moment.

Tough play here, if it was the type of table that would raise with Ax, that's fine. You have one more question, and that is - would this player push/call a push if they missed a flop with Ax. If the answer is yes, then I think the correct play is obvious - simply call his raise, and depending on the flop, push or fold. If the answer is no, I would bet the flop but not all in.
