i dont have the HH but heres how it went
short handed tourney, im in third position, he's the dealer
blinds are at 100/200
rw11687 1400 chips
olds21 1200
rw11687 QQ
rw11687 raises to 300
olds21 is the only caller
flop 872
rw11687 checks
olds21 bets 200
rw11687 raises to 800
olds21 raises 75 and is allin
i call
he shows AA, no help and im basically out, next few hands when im in BB i flop a flush draw, get allin and lose. only had like 200 left.

You have to think you have the best hand, it's hard to get of these kind of hands rw. If he has AK you don't want to give him another card for a flush, don't know what suits it was but he could simply bet because you check after the flop. So you have to raise him up and hopehe doesn't have AA or KK.

Good play unfortunate that he held one of those.

Unlucky, as played there was no getting away from it. The preflop raise was a little weak, I'd have done at least 3xBB, 1.5xBB is too weak for QQ which needs protecting.

i agree it was weak, but a 3x bet commits basically commits myself. if someone calls and an ace falls on the flop, then i can fold and be ok still, but if i go 3x im commiting no matter what. but on the other hand, why not commit myslef with QQ right there? lol, guess im contradicting myself now.
