Latest News: ...and just to show what an idiot I can be at times - here's the last hand.
My excuse was, it seemed heads-up, he couldnt put a hand down. He'd been tight through the game but kept calling all my raises heads-up. I was pretty confident here. I did read him as a better heads-up player than he had shown during the game and it looked like he was playing to some sort of strategy which made sense to me.

I was playing pretty agressively and raising regularly from the SB. My continuation bets, often around 2/3 pot, were repeatedly called. Hmm ok, I'm mixing it up a bit more now.

If a danger card came on the turn, where I'm not likely going to make a raise, any checks I made were immediately raised by him. It's quite possible he was just hitting hands but after a few times of this happening, I was reluctant to lose a further pot by checking, getting re-raised and folding. The check-re-raise bluff was always a possibilty for me but at this stage I wasnt looking to get into that position. I put him on a draw or a bluff. I took a silly risk, got it wrong and killed myself off.
