It was a donkey call by Jax but why were you pushing into a limper with an M of 10? You're getting in need of chips but you're by no means desparate. Lets say Jax will call with 66+, A6o+, A6s+, KQs and KQo, you've actually only got 45/55 equity and are in a coinflip for your stack. ATs is 50/50on the nose and even AJs is only 55/45 against the range I mention here.

Although I think if you limp here Jax is going all the way to the river when he see's a possible runner-runner staright the frigging muppet!

I would not have gone all in because it just is not my style. Sure I am aggressive but when I get short stacked I tighten up my game a little bit. Also, another reason for not going all in, would be that it is only the third level of the tournament and the blinds are only 25/50. There is probably still a large amount of donks left which would make me want to get a good hand like QQ, KK, AA, or AK knowing that they will call with almost anything. However, one thing that could be taken into exception is the type of read you had on the players at the table.

yeah i am not in the habit of going all in with that little pressure from the blinds with a9 but if you can get action from trash like a6 then fair enough. You are always going to lose some of these but when you are a decent favorite when the cards are turned over then fair enough - luck will balance itself out over time

Even if you didn't go all-in pre-flop and just made a normal raise or call,it probably wouldn't have turned out any different IMO. Just one of those doomed hands that come along at the wrong time. Unlucky.

I have to agree.....however, the reason it was posted was it was at the end of one of them days, you know where you flop the nuts only to be sucked out on by runner, runner man or your Pkt Ks against there Pkt As blah, blah, blah.....so this hand was the straw that broke the ‘ole donkeys back....
