Default Lucky 5-handed All in

I was playing in a live tournament, one of those free bar-circuit events. We were nearing the first break, last hand actually, when I looked down at [10 10]. The player two to my right raised 4x the BB, something I saw him do earlier with [77] and [A10], and the short stack immediately to my right went all in for about double his bet.

I reraised all in for $3,000 - blinds were 100/200 with a $900 bet coming my way. Hoping to isolate it to the two short stacks. Instead, the player immediately to my left (Who had no clue how to play - seemed to be his first game) is counting chips and calls. Meanwhile the button calls as well, and the original raiser! Needless to say, I wasn't very excited about the prospect of [10 10] 5-handed. Slowly everyone started showing their hole cards. They were:

Original raiser: [Ad 7d] - my read was right
Short stack all in: [Qs 6s] - ???
Me: [10 10]
Clueless guy: [Jc 10c]
Button: [As Kh]

I actually was really surprised to see how well off I was, considering I was against 4 opponents. Still, any card higher than a 10 and I was out. The board fell down

[4d 6 3d ... 10h ... Jd] I hit the last 10 in the deck, but the river diamond gave the main pot to the guy with Ad7d. I took a decent sized side pot that doubled me up, but would've liked to quadruple up instead.

I went on a tear after the first break, making it to the final table, but I was short stacked. I pushed on the first hand with [22], and my girlfriend called me with [JJ] and the button with [AQ]. I didn't improve, and she knocked out the AQ guy too. Jill, the girlfriend, went on to win the whole tournament pretty handidly, having $150k vs 20k vs 30k 3-handed, and winning us a $50 meal voucher at a nearby resturant, haha!

Nice one!

Now that's the kinda girl a man ought to have, keeps him in a style to which he could become accustomed.
