Now in the SB with small suited conectors I call a 45 raise. I don't think that is a terrible call. When I have pocket aces I don't raise 1x the big blind. I raise 4x times or more depending on what stage of the tourny I'm in or if I'm short stacked. Did I make a bad play here? Would you have folded?

Was a good play, thats the risk he takes when he bets that way.I wouldve played the same way.

Thats one of doyle brunsons favorite situations. He likes to have suited connectors (preferably small ones) and his opponents to have aces because you will win so much money if you hit. Your opponent dug his own grave and thats the position you want to be in.

yep generally speaking when someone critisises your play at the table it says more about them and their play than you.

Equally if he had bet more but you really sensed that he had aces then calling would be fine as this sort of guy is as likely to fold aces as any of us would turn down playing a freeroll HU with phil Ivey. So the implied odds are so good that you could almost call on 27 and it be a good play (to a 4*BB raise).

Your playing those cards was fine, but you had an opportunity to get probably all his chips considering he had AA. I would have bet the pot on the turn and went all-in on the river. You had the nuts, but I'm sure he would have called. That would have really pissed him off.

yeah...from the tight players view it was a loose call you had about 2.3:1 odds to call but when bb called behind you... you had 3:1 which is not to bad but still a loose play just because of the starting hand...your intention is to mask your hand and put a hurting on someones high cards...now the end result was all his fault he should be considered the donk..limping in with AAs psshh...and on top a possible straight on the board and ppl gladly calling....one

He min raised with AA to get some action on his hand. He got action and lost to a very lucky flop.

I'm never folding 76s to a min raise and I'd consider calling a 3-4xBB raise depending on the situation.

lol this forum is a joke. Honestly I didn't even mean to sign up for this 4.40 SNG and was playing the P5s blowout, a few $20 SNGs, and as a result didn't care about this 180 man SNG. Your play was probably fine but it's close because you were in the SB. Tarheel, do yourself a favor and don't listen to these guys giving you advice especially Scottishben...

Equally if he had bet more but you really sensed that he had aces then calling would be fine as this sort of guy is as likely to fold aces as any of us would turn down playing a freeroll HU with phil Ivey. So the implied odds are so good that you could almost call on 27 and it be a good play (to a 4*BB raise).

wow, just wow.

but you had an opportunity to get probably all his chips considering he had AA. I would have bet the pot on the turn and went all-in on the river. You had the nuts, but I'm sure he would have called. That would have really pissed him off.

are you serious?????? Please tell me what part of that hand would lead you to believe that I would OVERPLAY my aces had his action been different? The only reason why I called the river was b/c I was getting over 3:1 on my call, didn't give a fuc about this 4.40 SNG, and unclicked "muck losing hand" just so I could show my aces. Oh and I also fold to any turn bet over 30.

he should be considered the donk..limping in with AAs psshh

i minraised idiot, learn how to read a HH. AND WTF IS "AAs"?????? Suited aces?

Finally, the reason why you are starting to think that you are a donkey, is becuase according to sharkscope you are infact just that.
