Default Good flop for someone!

I wasn't involved, but it was sa huge pot that vaulted the winner to the top 5 in this MTT with 300 left:

thats an amazing flop...cant ask for more than that. Flopping a royal and the other play flopping a straight to pay you off

Why is he re-raising with a possible flush? I can see himm betting out on the turn, but when the other guy comes over top, wouldn't you just try and check it down? Really poor play. In our THF League match last night I folded trip 8s, Sonny folded 2 pair, when we both realized we were beat with the bet put out.
