Default time for a break...

10+1 NL tourney on holdempoker.com
early in tourney

blinds 10/20
rw11687x dealt AA bets 100 from 2nd position
DouchebagDan (not his real name if you didnt already get that) calls in the SB
flop is 6s8s9d
DouchebagDan raises 100
rw11687x raises to 300
douchebagDan goes allin
rw11687x calls
DouchebagDan shows T8s
turn is Qs
river is 2h

great....AA gets busted by another idiot

two hands later, im way low on chips now

rw11687x gets dealt A7o in the BB
two people call the BB,rw11687 moves all in
Suckoutsam calls 380, shows Q7s
flop is QQ5

no need to go on, so with this, im taking a break. the only game ill be playing for a few weeks is the league game at 10. the poker gods are trying to tell me to quit poker or something. they HATE me right now.

Your postflop play on the first hand is bad, and you stuck your money in while behind. He has 9 outs to the flush, 3 to the straight, 3 to make 2 pair, 2 to make three of a kind, 19 outs. You are way behind on that flop. His bet represents a made hand, so call him and bet a safe turn card. Seeing the turn card here would probably keep you from going broke.

On the second hand, if you are really short in chips thats not a bad hand to open push with, but in the BB it's probably worth checking and seeing the flop, unless you are going to be comitted anyhow. If you only have 2x the big blind left, moving in is fine because it will probably win you more money, if you have 5x, it will probably loose you money.

well i may not have played it perfectly, but i certainly dont think it was horrible. i was ahead in the hand and his weak bet on the flop, not even 1/2 the pot, represents a draw, now i didnt realize he was on such a strong draw, but i certainly dont think it was a bad play. not good ill admit, but i put my money in when i was ahead, not by much, but i was

It doesn't say how many chips you had, so I don't know your pot odds, but you were behind in the hand when you go all in here. With the right pot odds it was a profitable move anyhow. But any time he has a pair (which would explain the bet) and flush draw he is going to be getting the right price against your move.

It's tough to read it that way, and I can't say I would have put him on that hand, a TJs would be a real possiblity though, and you would be performing even worse against that.
