Nice pot, but once again I am more than concerned with your preflop play. KTo is a limpable hand from mid-late position, but nothing more. And, if you do plan on raising, a min-raise really doesn't do anything. What happens if someone calls your bet with KJ, KQ, or AK - you are screwed royally and instead of bragging about winning $26, you are complaining about how you lost $27.

Like I said in your other post, I am not trying to be mean, but it my belief is that harsh criticism is the only way to improve...and I think you really need to hear this.

I agree with you -

I guess, in some ways, I just had it with people trying to bluff me.. but you're right.

It was a loose kind of play by me, and thankfully, it paid
next time I might not get so lucky

I just love K 10
I dunno why!

but I appreciate your input, I do
and I don't consider it harsh by any means
any and all input is definately taken in and thought of

thank you

I'm not a great one on responding to HHs, as my record will tell, I'm all for the moment and what you feel is right at the time.....however....

IF you are going to raise pre-flop with K10o (which I would have to agree with Mars, in practice is not a great move, but then you know the table and players), when you hit your card on the river, you have to come out betting.....a pretty good one at that.......you want all ace rags off the pot and your 2nd pair to take it down there and then....its an aggresive move and in this case if you make the turn, then you check......but as with Mars......although not quite so harsh *grin* I would have to agree......don't raise 10Ko mid position, more often than not you will get burned, as it really is a bane of a hand....IMO (J/X )

THF Player of the Year
I agree.

If you do chose to raise with those types of hand( which I don't think is advisable) you have to make a proper raise preflop.

After your raise and you hit your pair on the flop; I think you have got to bet there. In this case there are 3 players checking - you simply have to bet or you've just contributed to the pot for no reason.

I think it's good to remember that you arent just looking at and playing your cards- as you know of course you are also trying to work out what your opponents are playing and importantly - what do you want them to think you are playing.

There's no shame in posting hand histories it helps us to learn and on THF we have probably all posted hands we've played poorly. This is how we learn and getting other people's opinions is why THF is such a good place to strengthen your play. It's helped my play immensely being around here.

Stick around and keep posting Soulite, there's great knowledge to be gained by it.

Best,

Preflop I wouldn't even have been playing but seeing as you did you really need to raise 4xBB plus 1BB for each limper in the pot, the min raise preflop is gay beyond belief. Pop it to $2 at least if you are going to play this hand at all. I'd continuation bet the flop, probably slightly over half the pot then push on the turn.
