Nice hand, but by not raising you obviously got very lucky - If you don't hit your quads your out of the tourney because of the fool with K9 SUITED!!

i really dont think the guy with K9 suited was a fool. He limped in with it and then hit a straight...you cant dispute him not backing down after that

i agree that ref should have raised....though so should MoneyBagz480 have!

Didnt need quads. Needed to pair the board. But yeah, needed some luck.

Very nice hand though.

Oh, I'm not saying his post-flop play was bad, I am simply against limping in with K9, suited or otherwise, in early-middle position.

i would agree with that at a full table with 9 or 10 players.
However theres only 6 players and hes just one before the button so as well as there only being 6 players hes actually sitting in the last third of the table - so calling with K9 is a decent play.

Ok. I think you are all overlooking the fact that we are talking a $3 MICRO TURBO here. I will give all you aggressive players a lesson on how to succeed playing in them and survive to make the money. Unless you have PP Aces I believe you should limp or at most make 2 or 3x the BB. You will get called with any Ax and get sucked out on more often than not. IE see BSQUADS stats. Now if someone raises or re-raises some bet I'm not saying to necessarily fold, you need to evaluate your options and make an intelligent decision. I want to see a flop with Qs and be aggressive post flop with only 2 cards to come. If an A or K comes up I bet out to see if someone caught something, and play accordingly. Now in this case, I bet out with my set and got a raise and re-raise. I don't think any of you would have folded high card trips and yes I got lucky.
I have played LOTS of these micros and just try and minimize my losses when I have a PP by limping in with them when and if overcards hit the flop. In the overall scheme of things I believe for my style of play its the right thing to do, and I have the personal stats to support my actions.
