BSQUAD2001: What do you think is the proper action here?

The table has been fairly loose thus far. So do i fold, call, raise, or move all-in???

i would raise....an allin here would most likely just win you the blinds and the 2 calls

id raise to 400 chips....if you get reraised then an allin push afterwards could be made

It partly depends on if you have seem them fold to a raise after limping. If they won't fold, there is no sense in folding. If they will fold, there is a case to be made for rasing and trying to steal.

I would probably just call and look for a strong flop. Catching your ace would be good to beat the small pairs that would limp. Queen's I wouldn't want to play too aggressive in a multiway pot.

Raise it up to 500 or 600, if you get reraised, base your next move on the table image of the re-raiser.

THF Player of the Year
It depends....but looking at it as a cold HH.

Your stack isnt in bad shape and there's a long way to go in the SnG I'd probably call and see what the flop brings.

Depends on the feel.
If everyone has been limping in Id raise 3x or 4x.
If they have all been limping and calling small reraises,I call.
Its a long game soIm not going to worry about losing chips here.
All in a bad idea.

OK seems we have enough responses. This what not an actual hand it was fictitious. It was a hand based on Harrington on Hold'em Vol. III. Example #2. For those of you havn't gotten the book, HOH III gives you 50 different examples in which you must dedide the best course of action and he assigns points to your responses.

In this example Harrington claims the best course of action is calling. He credits you with 4 points for that action. He also gives credit for raising (3 points). Zero "0" points for pushing All-in and Zero for folding a good hand.

If you'd like to discuss more of HOH III, a few of us will be holding a HOH III discussion in the Shout box Tuesday @ 9pm EST. and possibly at 4pm EST as well. Feel free to stop by and participate even if you havn't gotten the book.
