Personally, I would've limped-called with JT in early position, although you know what the table is like. The check-raise on the flop is fine, although I don't see why you didn't bother continuing the bet on the turn. Tahoe could have had a straight draw, maybe 2 pair, maybe a flush draw, you just never know. You allowed him to catch runner runner straight.

Have to agree w/ mars on that one. No reason to check the turn. Sure the 3rd spade came but you cant assume he has 2 spades in the hole. You need to bet that turn to keep him from drawing. The river is a another story. I have no problem witht he check on the river seeing you checked the turn. But again you cant assume he has a spade. Make him prove it. And if you bet big enough, even if he does have a spade he may fold thinking yours is higher.
