| | | | Villain is running at 13/7/4 over 88 hands and I chose to make a play here and play the player and I've got a good solid, aggressive table image and am running at 24/14/5 http://www.pokerhand.org/?644620

| | | | Nice one Mattastic,
Would you say that this play:
[ Dec 2 03:10:57 ] : GodOfRap called $1 and raised $1
was the one which gave you the most informaion?
and another question.. I'm not familiar with table stats written this way '24/14/5'
What does each number represent? Games played/flops seen/pots won?

| | | | The numbers relate to Poker Tracker figures and are VP$IP (Times entered pot voluntary as a percentage) / PFR% (percentage raised preflop) and AF (aggression factor measured by Poker Tracker).
Villain is 13/7/4 so is very tight for 6-max but is very aggressive when he hits a hand. He checks from the BB so instantly from his previous play and from his stats I know he's not got JJ+, AQ+. The flop totally misses me but I think I can outplay GodofRap but Poppu73 is quite dangerous so I bet the pot tyo push him out and leave me with the very tight player. He calls so now I put start to put him on a range of hands. He's flat called me which says to me he's probably hit the Queen but he's weak as this guy would raise with a good holding, his AF is 4 which is very aggro. Turn completes the possible flush and as I represented it on the flop I bet out again here.
His min-raise is awful. He's giving me over 4/1 odds to call him so even with a single heart I have to call based on the odds. I chose to 3-bet him here telling him that I am not scared of his mini show of aggression or the fact that the board is flushed and he flat calls this raise. At this point I put him squarely on either KQ, KJ or QJ. Sometimes the min-raise means a monster but against this play it didn't add up. If he'd have raised to $3 I would probably have gone away but it said to me "I have a K or Q and am scared to invest much into this baord".The the river puts 4 to the flush out but since I've already said on the turn that I am not scared of the 3 flush cards I bet out 2/3 of the pot which offer him around 2.8/1 tocall but he declines to do so.
My image helped a lot here. I've been playing any pocket pair, any suited connector down to 54, any suited Ace, and two cards Ten or higher and I've bet when I hit a piece of the board and also bet when I had nothing at all so the pressure was always on him here when i started firing shots at him.
Sometimes you get a feel for a certain situation and have to take advantage of it. Something just doesn't feel right and you have to go with your gut instinct. It helps also that I've played around 3k hands in the past few days so am starting to pick up on oppurtunity's like this.

| | | | B, why was this posted? The bluff did not succeed, as both Adaon and bryan called Kaart's raise. It just so happens that Kaart outdrew the two of them for the win, not an outwitting.

| | | | Guess you just had to be there. Bryan had some very good reads all game on Kaart. It was just a great hand to watch. Kaart was on the Bluff, Bryan on the open-ender, and I suspect Adaon was drawing to the flush. It was some heavy betting compared to the previous hands and it was just funny to see a pair of 5's win the hand with the pot size what it was in relation to previous hands.
The outwitting was seemingly done by the 2 opponents who saw right through the bluff attempt.
Again, just a great hand to watch. | |
