eck, 2nd hand is fine but I don't understand the 1st hand.

I know you limped because you were in the SB (cards don't matter a whole lot, we all do it often I'm sure), but why even bet that flop? I understand that you were bluffing... but why? You have no read on anyone in the hand and the pot is only 3 BBs.

The worst possible thing that could have happened, happened once you made your bluff. You already took a shot at the pot so you felt compelled to try again on the turn... when he calls that one you again felt compelled to try one more time on the river. This is how an innocent SB call of 100 chips turns into a 2000 chip loss when you had absolutely nothing...

While the encounter was a victory, we show it as an example of what not to do. TG

Hard game to bluff in, even harder at low levels.....all about position this one and the amount I bet on the river...If any player had hit a part of the board I felt a bet any less than the 22c would have got a caller....thankfully being in last position is what swung it for me here......I feel the fact that I didn't just go all-in (or there a bouts) it showed far more strength on my behalf.....and had they limp their trips then good luck to them (unlikely however)....at least I have a chip and a chair left.

HAY !!! Wait a minute here I thought we were doing poker here and not politics senko888!!!! Sorry could not help it there.

But my formula for poker is 30% luck, 30% skill and 40% bluffing.

A lot of the winning hands I slap down is basicly draws. Some times hit them some times not. If your not going to bluff , those final tables are going to be far and few between.

Just today in a sit and go a player had A Q hearts (big chick, which they showed at carbon), an A , K, K flop, 6 on turn and 3 on river. No flush was avalible, I bet like I had a K in their eyes, 4 x's BB, then 8 x's and finally did the big bet where they would all in and out at the bubble with no pay if they called. Guess what they folded and I got one third of thier chips.

Reason for the fold because earlier I had 5 6 spades and caught 3 5s to make quads did same betting pattern and they were scared of my luck, it was stated by them in a reply.

No I did not show my cards either I wanted them to feel good about the lay down. BLUFFING do it to win!
