Did I do anything wrong or will it all be ok "in the long run"? My winning session now ends $17 (8.5BB) down.

Just checked PT and he's played 64% of his hands and raised 20%. PT rates him as a fish, I have drawn a dogshit on a post-it and stuck it on my screen, that's his new logo. Hope his budgie dies. I wanna smash something.

Hand 1, you were right preflop. On the flight you might have checked and planned to bet/raise a good turn card, then I would not have gone deep on that turn card. The pot would have been too big to price out a draw if you waited though, so it's probably better to bet the flop. With as many as 10 outs you have to call the turn raise, so that's fine. And the pot is just too big to fold the river.

Hand 2 I would have thought Slim had trip 3s unless you have seen him raising with draws. Also you have a guy who raised the flop still to act behind you, and one more player to act. I would push this heads up, or to be the first one to raise the flop, but in a multi way pot, I probably let it go about half the time unless a read tells me to do otherwise.

Your play sucked. But you know that already...the donks own you
How dare you raise against the mighty 54s!!
You should fold anything but TT preflop from now on, its the only way you're gonna win...

you have to remember that pocket kings are not invincible. I like to think of all pocket cards in two groups: Rockets and not Rockets. If I get pocket kings or queens I try to tell myself that its the same as pocket 9s or something else like that because otherwise I usually find myself putting in tons of chips and losing. I think that you made the right play on the first hand though when you got trip kings. On the second hand im not shure what I would have done but I might have folded considering how confident slim was I would have put him on trip twos after the flop, which would make the kings worthless. My advice is you dont necessarily have to play high pocket pairs to the showdown if you think your opponent can have you beaten.
