| | | | You know, I don't even know why I bother looking at the thread starter anymore. You luck has sucked v, plain and simple. The way I see it, you have two options - either play in higher buy in tourneys where bad play (and thus, bad beats) won't occur so much, or go down a level or two for some damage control. | |

| | | | haha so true. just wish i had a BR for that. I actually played one 30+3$ SnG for fun and took first and then a 20+2$ and took second.. sadly had to transfer that money to someone I owed but it was still fun.
Those three above were from a sample of a 10tabling session I had with 6$ Turbos on stars. I actually made a 25$ profit somehow. :\

| | | | Most of the hand histories you post you seem to be all in preflop virtuexru. Now I'm certainly no poker expert, but I've found in my experience that people are less likely to call a large raise then an all in bet. All in seems to bring out the gamble in people, particularly people with little skill which you find in a lot of these tournaments who know they'll get outplayed most of the time after the flop unless they flop a monster. I personally try to avoid getting my chips in the middle unless I've got a monster and someone forces me into or I'm short stacked and need to double up. Just seems like most of your posts where you get outdrawn you are already in preflop and don't have a chance to get away from a hand. Granted you are generally going in with very strong hands, but once you have all your money in the middle it becomes a spectator sport.

And if the hand histories you post are the only bad beats you have then I think you have nothing to complain because the odds even out. It's hard to believe that these are the only times you get dealt aces. Let's see some pokertracker stats and we will know for sure if it's really Pokerstars.

In the first situation he had someone re-raising his AA raise. If he calls, he's already committed 40% of his stack. Raising all in is a good move there.
In the second hand, an M between 4 and 5 -- all in mode...or check mode. On this one, I think checking would be more prudent, unless he felt that the SB only limped with weak hands.
On the third hand, KK certainly merits a re-raise. A minimum raise to $1,000 would put 38% of his stack into the pot. Gotta put maximum pressure to reduce the chance of a weaker, chasing hand getting in and hitting. I agree with the all in here.

| | | | Oh I agree wbtczn. It just seems that most of the hands he's posted were all ins preflop. I'm not saying that any of them he shouldn't have been all in preflop, was just wondering if there was a correlation there or if it was just a coincidence.

| | | | If you cant handle a bigger bank roll, just take a couple weeks off so you can stake more at one time.
Can you explain the JT hand for us though, im curious on it. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread
