Default Just call me Bubble boy

19 left in the 180 man $4 sng at stars and I'm among the shortstacks. 18 get paid. Play is being played Hand for hand and i get dealt 8-2s on the BB. I flop the 2 pair. I see the flush possibility and want to discourage my opponent from drawing to it if he's got spades. UH OH!!! Just my luck, he's not drawing at all. In retrospect I would make the same play again. I needed chips in order to compete so it was worth the gamble. Am I wrong to think that way? Was I too aggressive? Should i have tried to back into the payout structure?

I would have to say that depends on if you wanted the win or your buy in back.I would have made the same play right or wrong

Its a $4 game. I'm not interested in anything but top 3. Glad to hear you agree. A $100 buy-in and i might play it differently.

I'm with Xtra and you here B. ITM is nice but if you want to see some cash you have to finish high up in the standings.

I too would have made this play, unlucky and GG.

I think all you have to do is ask yourself one question.

Is it really worth it to try to limp into the money? If not, you made the right play.

IMO, after 3+ hours of play in a tourney I don't want to try to just limp into the money when it's just $4 or so. I would have made the same play.
