dont be too hard on yourself (hope you didnt think i was being too hard on you)
the reason i can say all this is because ive been there and done it. I used to go allin in situations like this all the time

I learned the hard way!!!
sit back and think about it. Think about what the other player is thinking and for a minute forget that this guy was a real chump

For any average player to call this allin they must have at least an ok hand. At least Ace with good kicker or a decent pocket pair...at the very least two high cards ...either way it means that at best your only slightly ahead
Which means that when you go all in you will
* When they call : win the hand about say 50% of the time
* When they call : lose the hand about 50% of the time
* win the blinds plus his initial raise when he folds.
just a small addition.
If the blinds are at 20/40 - ie the very start of a tournament, and you are in a reverse position, think about what you should do?
If someone reraised you the rest of your chips you would need to fold AK, AQ, AJ etc. I know it would be sickening to do so but youd have to
you need to take risks in poker...however, at the start of a tournament you rarely need to take such a risk unless you have a monster
