Default Sods Law

the joy of me hitting trips was quickly lost when i saw what the guy after me had!!!

i had got short stacked early in the game. I hit queens but there was a jack on the board. The guy raised me, he reraised, i reraised cos i thought he was bluffing. Turns out he had AJ and caught an ace on the river.

He's figuring he's headsup, or three players at best, he sees you're short stacked and thinks you're trying to buy the pot. He's suited and figures, what the heck, just 1/6 of my stack I've still got plenty of chips and if he hits, he takes you out??? Just a thought.
