Talking Ouch...

There are outdraws and there are "outdraws" and this falls in latter of the two..!!

For him to require an inside card still by the river I would already be counting my winnings.....But to see the 10 on the river must have been gutting not at any stage was he winning and by the turn it wasn't looking good either...!!!

What can you say.....I feel for ya' man....!!!

Begs the question....I wonder how many mouse’s have now been launched across the room since the invention of infra red optical mouse's...(should that be mice....??), at least with the old ones they could only travel so far.....!!!

Thanks

Sonny

i would have been afraid of the flush draw when he went all in however i still would have called - there was nothing wrong with your play in my opinion

I wouldnt say it was an incredibly bad beat though...when a flop like that comes you are gonna be against pair/straight draw combos a lot. When you both showed your cards he had 6 outs to beat you so was about 3 to 1 underdog. He ended up catching which was just a little unlucky for you...but thats poker!

I have reservations about making the call preflop. Unless I am well ahead in chips, I muck this one preflop, unless the same opponent tried stealing from me 2 or 3 times previous, then I call.

nah i think he was right in calling
JQ is a hand i wouldnt call a raise with but i would call with it in late position. A 1 blind raise isnt much to call with this hand if you want to defend your blind.

But being the blind puts him out of position on all streets except preflop? Not the position I want without an ace or king or preferably both.
