I think his all-in re-raise would've made me fold there.. to much money to throw down on just top pair..

I think you both played your hands perfectly. Although i question his calls preflop and after the flop (QJo is not a great hand to be calling with in the first place but regardless its a short table and i dont know what image he has of you.) I like your continuation bet on the flop. His call there was weak and in the long run chasing gutshots will lose him alot of money. But I guess he feels he has a gutshot and 2 overs to the board. Regardless, he played the turn perfectly. Checking in front of you. (Priceless) Unfortunately for you the ACE hit on the river otherwise you could of gotten away. He bets representing ACE and you have to call there. Just be thankful he only had $5.95 left otherwise it might have cost you more.

Over $14 in the pot and $6 to call, the check on the turn would have throw me for a loop -- I'd have called and expected to see AK AQ AJ or AT (only one that would beat you)
