Default multi entries in freerolls

have you guys done this or seen people talking about doing this? I was playing in a tourney recently, and 4 out of the 9 people at my table were talking about how many times the were able to register for that tourney. one guy said he had upto 5 names registered for the same freeroll, and another had 3. To me this sucks cause these cause were really bad players but were lucky enough to have multiple entries and when 1 loses they move on to next name on the list.

I would think it to be very difficult, multiple screens, IP addresses, etc, etc. I dont know for sure, but sites are doing their best to prevent that kind of stuff from happening. Be patient and the time will come in which poker sites will be able to monitor players for collusion and multiple accounts.

You should have reported them to the site.

Ever think of them using separate computers. I have on many occasions, played in freerolls with my friends who were on my LAN down in my basement. On separate computers, we have had 5 different people registered in the same freeroll on the same site. The point of this obviously wasn't collusion (no one even ended up on the same table), but rather I was having a LAN and some people felt like freerollin' it up

I can't confirm if it is possible, but using different username's on WinXP/2000 would allow you to run another instance of a program. Not sure if that would work, but this could also be used to allow multiple entries into freerolls. This isn't suposed to give anyone ideas and I also frown on anyone doing this. Just giving a tech point of view as to how simple it really is to have multiple accounts on the same freeroll.

plus there is also the possibility that they made an extra account at a friends house or something, that wouldnt be able to stop you from signing onto that account from another computer..there are probably many ways to bend the rules and beat the system

This is something that happened at THF and was one of the reasons why there are no more freerolls there. Also, if you know of someone who is doing that, you should report it to one of the leaders here so they can deal with them.

I mostly seen this on Tilt. I was playing a tourney there and this guy had joined 19 times, another guy played 9 different names. They go all in trying to get one of them up high, and then just concentrate on that one. It does suck, and I have turned them in, but I don't know if it worked or not.
