Zena is right. You don't have to make a deposit. Well, technically you don't
If on your first attempt you qualify you are set and no requirements are needed for raked hands or deposit.
However, if you miss that first time you will need to earn 100 "million points" to qualify for another round. 100 raked hands. The lowest limit that qualifies is $0.50/$1.00 fixed limit ring tables. No NL tables. So, if you miss on your first shot you will have to deposit and play raked hands to get another crack at the Million.
I checked out the last one the finished. It payed 30 players a seat for the $1,000,000 freeroll. This is out of a field of 695. That is just under 4.5% of the field that gets to earn a seat.
Not terrible as far as far as payout percentage. But, not fantastic either.
I haven't tried it myself yet. I think you have all the way to 8-26-2005 to enter into one of the qualifiers. Still plenty of time. Think I will buy me a book on tournies before I attempt a qualifier.
Would be nice to walk away with the $1,000,000 prize. Imagine you would get a lot of mileage of bragging rights for that one. Plus, a cool Mil doesn't hurt either.
