| | | | The rule of ten is not always that great.
Went over the top of a raise with KK and got called by Q5 off that had like 2x my chips. This was early in the tourney. I should have known better.
Flop jx5. Turn x. River Q.
So much for that tournament.

| | | | PMK, you have to understand though. Online, sometimes even live, it is almost throwing your money away if you are all in preflop. I mean, you will ALWAYS get a call online. Even if you have the better hand. There is no rule stating the best hand preflop has to hold up to the river. You will lose alot of the time. Maybe seeing the flop, calling his raise and not going over the top would have been the best idea. Once you have seen the flop come, no Ace or pair on the board, an all in would have been effective, more likely than all in preflop. | |

| | | | very true bluffer. preflop hands rarely hold up, you have to remember your hole cards are only 2/7 cards available. i try not to commit too much preflop, especially with kings or pp of that sort, you never know when an ace might flop | |

| | | | Bluffin you have a point.
However thinking back to the hand and the way the person was playing. He still would have likely call if I had raised post flop. Whatever the raise was. I saw him play low pair like that before.
One of those that plays any pair no matter that the bet is in hopes of picking up 2 pair of trips.
So, it might have been a hand I had no way out of other than folding it preflop.
Folding KK preflop. Now that would be a tough one to do.

| | | | I think all these people answered your question!! On the surface it might look like BI#%H fest, but it is about right for that site. But I have the same problems with all the sites I play on. As for the not betting KK preflop, come on!!!! you have too.
we all know that online, someplayers play crappy....ok most players play crappy. I dont kow what it is, but people call with anything. I had QQ get beat by 24 the other day. The guys answer when I asked why he alled my raise 6 times the big blind and he was out of position. "they were suited", I shook my head and played on, now I play for the later tables, thats the only place to find decent players.

If you take that kind of situation to the flop, at least you raise to show you have a decent or strong hand, and post flop, make an all in attempt, it shows the player that you have a hand, instead of taking your hand to a toss up and pray the cards fall your way. I mean, you are going to see more online bad beats because more people take risks they normally wouldnt in live play. Just the nature of not having to see the player or play for real stakes.
