So you disagree with Howard Lederer on that one then? He says different games hone different skills and you can get by with just the main skills for your game. But to be really good, you need to play other games where the main skills are different. This then sharpens up your favourite game because the minor weaknesses have gone. I think I prefer his analysis.

I agree with RD. You cant just be good at one game. You have to understand, learn, and master all the games to become a master of poker. Poker is not texas holdem, as many may think. Poker is a wide variety of games, with a wide varitey of skills and technique involved to play them games.

Captrasa, the forum is a place to voice opinions and thoughts. If opinions clash, which turns into a debate, the better the thread becomes. Knowledge becomes prevelant, and differents sides and reasonings.
