If you read my whole thread you would see I said they are beginning to be a waste of time. For the reason I meantioned here and for other reasons others of have mentioned. I even went so far as saying post restrictions that would prevent me from playing in the short run would not be a bad thing.
I think the big reason people started these private freerolls was to elevate the level of game play that was at freerolls which is a good idea.
And if you read any of my other threads you would realize that I mentioned that I understood the reasoning behind leaving registration open to anyone. It is a good idea that we get traffic in to this website. I also mentioned what a good job Fonz is doing with the website.
What I was mentioning, as well as others, is a voice of frustration over several problems with Full Tilt. Not with the way he is maintaining the website.
Other freerolls this site hosts don't have near the problems that Full Tilt has.
Also, you seem to want to put words in my mouth yet again. I not once mentioned that Fonz had control of what cards were dealt to others.
As far as controling the players that play. That will be taken care of when he has the time to implement restrictions and does something to stem the abuse of the password system which others have mentioned as well. Things he has already mentioned are in the works.
As far as having a flaw in my game. There are many. But, and others have mentioned this as well, when you constantly have your best hands beat and I do mean constantly there is more going on than just a flaw in your game. As you said in another thread, an occasional bad beat is to be expected. It is the nature of the game.
That again is why I believe many forums were set up. To limit the trash players that are playing so we as players can work on playing solid poker instead of worrying about our AQ suited in the hole when a flop is Q4Q being beat by the guy that called a strong preflop and I do mean strong with Q4 in the hole.
This is to prevent these tourneys from being no more than lotteries. |
