Default Full Tilt Poker Is Rigged

I hate Full Tilt Poker.

Today, I was in the middle of the pack in a Freeroll, had about 29,000 chips...the chip leader had around 50,000. So I pick up pocket 4s in middle position, and raise to about 1,800 to go (120-240 blinds, 25 ante), everyone folds except the chip leader, on the button, who re-raises to make it 7,000 to go. Now usually I would just go all in and hope he folds, but I felt he had a bigger pair. So I just call.

Flop comes 4-6-7, with two spades. I check, he bets big, and I move all in relatively quickly. He calls instantly, showing his pocket queens.

The turn comes 7, pairing the board and giving me the full house. By this point, Im already planning how I am going to spend the massive $8 first prize.

The river comes 7, giving him 7's full of queens, which beats my 7's full of 4's.

Not too often you see a worse beat than that, I think. At least it was only a freeroll.

First of all, raising 8x the big blind with pocket fours was a mistake.
Second of all calling 7k if you knew he had a bigger four was a bigger mistake.
Third and most important... WHAT SITE ISNT RIGGED!!! they all are!!! its a joke!!! haha.
Next time just limp in with low pair hoping for trips. Also check out my MTT guide on our sister site it might help

first off i dont think SHIPdaCHIPS is in a position to say you made the wrong raise.he wasnt there and couldnt possibly know what other factors you based your decision on.but im prolly not in a position to think so.another fine example of why hold em is all about position.and if online poker is rigged im glad they havent targeted me.

Sorry to hear about your loss drawdead. Seems you can't automatically assume a place is rigged just because you lost a hand though. We've all lost hands like that. But you're certainly entitled to like or dislike a site for your own reasons. Better luck next time.

those river draws happen all over the poker room circuit. I play at 3 sights and have lost more hands to someone drawing lucky. Fact of life ... Your play wasn't a bad bet, he just got lucky feeling his Queens were top pair. I seen alot of 10 to A str8s filled on all-in bets and thought well maybe it's rigged. but the fact remains it's poker and we've all caught hands

That was a bad beat, and I have been there so many times. It happens when your counting on the luck of a card. Hope you give Full Tilt another try. The people can be friendly and knowledgeble.

I've been seriously thinking about adding Full Tilt to my list of poker rooms lately. I've had bad beats on the sites I've played on also, and I know how you feel, but that's just the way of the game. Think of the hands that brought you to that $29,000 in chips in the first place. You tooks someones chips away and they probably feel the same way. We have all been in your shoes at one time or another.

I think people thinking sites are rigged or that there are more bad beats online is attributable to the sheer enormity of the number of hands played online. You can play more hands in one hour online than it seems during a day of live poker what with the gathering of cards, shuffling and the talking and the other normal distractions of a real home game. More hands means more situations, simple as that. And of course our bad beats do seem to be the ones that stick in our memories.
