Intro & Paradise Poker Freeroll

Hi - I just found your site, liked it, and joined. I've enjoyed reading the posts and thought I'd introduce myself and add a post. I have been playing texas holdem for about 3/4 months steady.

I enjoy freerolls although I have never placed in the top to win a WSOP seat or money or even a t-shirt! I enjoy playing them to practice different styles of play and hopefully one day place. My best placement to date was 83rd out of 4000 at Paradise Poker's WSOP Freeroll. Since that time, I've been down in the 1000's - sometimes if I go all in early - the 3000's.

Does anyone have any tips on these large (4000 participants) freerolls? Is it best to play aggressively or to play tight? or maybe a combination? TIA

I tend to be a bit looser at the beginning but not too loose.

2nd to 3rd hour I play tight aggressive. As you get closer to the bubble for cash, most players tighten up... Im looking for value bets in late position to pick these folks off or steal the blinds.

typically you are going to get to a point where you have 1 decision (due to the blinds) all in or fold. Try to act in late position but if you get the good, dont be shy.
