I just tell myself it's part of the deal, deal with it. Seems to work for me. I do like AP for this, they boot after the first blind increase now.

Well everyones taking the view that people are sigining up and sitting out for no reason. Although a big chunk of those sit outs might be just in missing, I believe theres another major reason that so many people are sitting out. Players who have multiple computers are registering on them in order to have a "rebuy" You see, one person could stand for 2 to 3 and they just sign up and enter the pw on multi comps. So if they get knocked out early they get a second shot at it. Honestly, the reason I know of this is that at an old site where we had freerolls as well with PWs, people has been caught doing this. (Don't ask me how but the admin banned alot of people for that as he stated in a warning thread) So, maybe the problem is more internal than external.

just been on the pokerstars freeroll last night well this morning 1.00 am was playing on a table which had 5 sitouts on . the fonz posted the password half an hour before the tourny started so where did they get to , i think they just sit and watch until the normal players battle it out and wait until half get knocked out, would it be possible for the people in charge to get a fast tourny so the blinds take them out quicker or sitouts post an ante every hand

I was in a normal pokerstars freeroll last night (one which I was very unlucky not to get higher than 167th out of 6000 entrants... series of BAD beats, had KK vs 88 and got outdrawn, hit Ace high straight on flop with A J, the guy had Q4 in the hole and hit runner, runner, another queen then a 10 to pair board to beat me, with a full house) and at one point, there were 7 people sitting out on a 9 person table and the funny thing was, THREE of the people sitting out kept popping in and talking.

So me and the other guy made a deal to pass the blinds... the ones who were there but sitting out stopped sitting out after that.

I wish this would happen more often. I've tried to make the same deal with only three or four people who aren't sitting before and there always seams to be at least one person who won't do it. It's a great plan if you can pull it off. All the real players slowly gain chips and you can remove the sitters.

I wish that they would speed up the round times also. PokerStars round times take for ever.

I'm relatively new also, and maybe I don't play enough to run into the sitout troubles alot,of people seem to be having, but I agree their isn't alot that can be done. I try to remember it's free, and whenever something is free people are going to take advantage.

I definitely prefer those sites that eliminate sit outs in short order. On some sites, I've foujd myself playing heads up at a table of 9 or 10 players. What fun is that? If I wanted to play heads up I would sign up for them.

man I hate sitouts like that! i will tend to only sit out for a whole tournament if i register and forget about it lol! But i do sit out for like 5 mins to go get a drink or a snack or to go to the bathroom. I was knocked out 11th in a betfred freeroll because of a sitout kept winning! if he would have gone i would have made the final table and more money!

I dont really understand the point of sitting out an entire tournament... like in PokerStars.. a sitout WILL NEVER EARN $$$, NEVER!.. so why waste ur time even signing up?

U'll have a better chance beating KK with your QQ if he flops a K than u earning $$ in a freeroll by sitting out.
