Default How do freerolls improve your game or make it worse?

Do you play the same way in a freeroll as you do on a regular table?

If the answer is no ,do you think playing different in the freeroll will eventually make you play a different style on a regular table?

If the answer is yes ,is this a good way to improve your game when none of your money is on the line?Or would you be better served in the long run tesitng a new style on a freeroll to see if it will make you a better player?

A good player adjusts to where he is playing. A freeroll requires a different set of skills as compared with other areas of play... You wouldn't play the same in a WSoP as you would in a freeroll online. Im sure tells would become much more important in the WSoP than online.

But free-rolls will damage your game if you allow that strategy to affect your over-all game strategy. If you go and play a non-tourament sitting of poker and play like it was a freeroll... you're going to be bound to be missing a few bucks!

I try to treat freerolls like I am playing with real money. It gets hard though with about every other hand going all-in but I like to try anyway. If I think it's a loose player making the all-in and I have a solid hand I have more tendency to call those, but if it's a solid player u can tell cause they usually don't go all-in preflop unless re-raised so I just try to pick and choose and hope I'm right. It's just so difficult to stay disiplined in freerolls but I try.
