| | | | New to Freeroll Play Hello,
I have recently become much more interested in poker, mainly texas hold em. I have played fake money tables and what not and now I feel I would like to try to play some where I actually have a chance of winning something back. But I am a little confused on where to start.
What sites are best for freeroll tourneys?
When I find a site that has them, how do I sign up for them?
Do I have to enter any personal information?
How do they work?
Also where do you guys find tourneys that allow USA players???
If I could get these questions answered I would very much appreciate it.
Thank you all!

| Smaller sites often have better freerolls with less players. At big sites like Pokerstars you will have to beat a 10k field and then a 2k field to win some money. At smaller sites you will have decent prizepool with only a few hundred players. Quote: |

| You will have to register an account. Usually Main Lobby -> Account. Quote: |

| If you want to deposit or cash out you will need to give them your details. If you just want to play freerolls or with play money they won't ask you for any personal information. How do what work? Quote: |

| By searching on the net or this forum you will find out easily which sites allow USA players. If in doubt you can always ask us. Pretty sure we know.
Good luck! | |

| | | | For sign up just visit the website and download the poker software. After this, register yourself by choosing your freeroll. In case you are interested to play with real money or deposits, then you need to enter personal information. After that you can choose your payment gateway viz Paypal, Moneybookers etc. Also
is a good site that lists websites whether or not they allow US players.

| | | | My advice in a freeroll would be to start of pretty tight. There are going to be a ton of inexperienced players, and a ton of people that just don't care whether they win, so they will make ridiculous all-in bets, etc. I would definitely play extremely tight, at least for the 1st hour. Let a lot of the maniacs weed themselves out, and when the second hour starts, back to your basic strategy. | |

| | | | I would suggest playing mid size to smaller sites as there will be less players in the freerolls. Also read as much as you can and learn from your mistakes. | |

| | | | I play at Cakepoker , Pokerstars and used to play at this other site in which i forgot. Basically anything that has the name "Free" in it , you will be seated at a table with ATLEAST 7 Donks. YOu cannot avoid them , the only time you can avoid them is when you're at the final table. Playing on pokertsars is pretty much a gut shot chance of gaining a Ticket , you have to burn through basically 8900 people to even get a shot at getting into the NEXT freeroll , which is pretty hard task to do seeing as basically most of the players that join always go all in with crap. Honestly , its not worth the time because if you indeed get a Ticket to the 2k weekend event unless you make the Final table and iwn the entire tournement you just wasted 8 hours of your life gaining 25 cents , if you even do make it into the money. Now on Cake poker you are playing a field of 500 people or 4000 people Depending on which tournement you are going for. For instance Cake has a freeroll where you can win a ticket to a weekend 1k freeroll where about 250 players play. In the first Freeroll there are about 500 players that play everytime , the only problem with that is there are only 7 Tickets , so you HAVE to make it to the final table to even have a shot at the second tourney. EVen with those odds you still have a better chance of getting there seeing as it is a smaller group of people and the tourney only lasts roughly 3 hours. The weekend tournemtn has 60 places and that tourney usually only lasts 2 hours before you start hitting the money then after that peopel start dropping faster than Jessica SImpson's IQ. Now for the other tournements There is a freeroll to win a ticket into the 250k Tourney which consist of 4000 people and only 7 tickets are given out...Very tough. The other one is a Gold Chips tourney where 4000 people are but there are 30 places paid out if i rememember correctly but even with that many people again the tournement only lasts about 3 hours ebfore you start hitting the chips. SO basically try and find smaller sites , Smaller sites have the best odds and ultimately give out the better prizes , I was on another Small site where I played in a freeroll and won money right off the bat , No tickets no nothing just money. Hope I helped you in your cause | |

| | | | My advice is read the fin print wherever you play or better yet, talk to people who know. Know what? Whether or not you can actually withdraw any winnings! Believe it or not, some sites will let you win real money but won't let you withdraw unless you deposit (or have PREVIOUSLY deposited) real money. Nothing quite as discouraging as beating 10,000 or so people multiple times for cash that you can't actually have.
ps. don't get caught up in the early donk rush. Depending on the # of initial players, you may have to sit out the first 45 minutes or hour except for cheap flops with only nut hands. And a lot of those donks aren't donks. They are people who are playing so many freerolls simultaneously at so many sites, it actually (kind of) makes sense for them to go all in at every table rather than nurse a single table. Sooner or later they are bound to get lucky and then they have a much healthier starting stack to work with. | |

| | | | Pokerhost has some freerolls daily with very small playing fields, usually less than 100 players. | |

| | | | I play at PartyPoker, when you are planning to play using freeroll, you should pick points freeroll tournament where you can earn your comp points which can be converted into cash or acquire some merchandise. | |
