Default Why so long to play free rolls?

I just dont understand why people take so long to play there hand in a free roll.It is taking several hrs to play one.It takes 3 or 4 min to play one hand, sometimes longer.Any thoughts on why people are taking so long.I think its very rude and i know players do it on purpose.I dont understand the reason for it.I know some hands take some thought, but not as long as people are taking

1. I think many people uses calculator while they play this tourneys

2. Lots of people play more than one freeroll at a time so they may be occupied at another table

3. People try to play slow to finish in the money.

if im so close to payouts or the final table and i have a short short stack ill take up as much time as i possibly can so someone else can lose out first. its just having a good poker strategy. its nonsense if ur at the beginning of a tourney tho and just doin it to be a jerk. i dont like it when ppl do that either. but also some ppl use those Texascalculate'em things so they can get pot odds and CHEAT b/c the machines tell u what to do. so usually if someones lagging they're either colluding, using a machine or havin a slow connection...or tryin to advance further

ditto on the close to payout stalling. i do not like to stall when close to the payout, but if other short stacks are stalling, i feel i have to stall jusy to make it equal. if i am short close to the apyout i will brouse the other tables to see if the other short stacks are stalling, then act according to what i find. it is just part of the game.

stalling dosent make since to me even if your short stack most of the game rooms go hand to hand when your one from the money and if two people go out on the same hand the one with the lower stack loses and the bigger stack gets the money so whats the use of stalling i always thought it was people playing more then one torrney i will do the same some times and it will slow my play down

why wouldnt6 it be nonsense here (l;ate in a tourney) i find it ridiculous that people stall for money just because "its good tyournament strategy" or something. they just try to be assholes to everyone else by wasting everyones time. preiod.

I see people sayin they bide their time to get into the money... i myself try to make a move prior to that and go for the kill... id much rather have 250$ than 5$... go big or go home!

Also ya multiple freerolls i play 3-4 at a time but i dont think i take that long.

Ray_lee, Knowing the pot odds through a program like Texas Calculatem is the same as having a table of outs and percentages for each of them. Just because it's a program doesn't mean it's any more advanced than a piece of paper. It doesnt tell you any more what to do than my poker books. I dont use Texas Calculatem, but these types of programs are allows on all poker sites and I agree with their policy.

another item that slows the game is that when a player has sat out and gets moved, most software does not maintain the sitout status...........this means waiting almost 2 minutes on a site like absolute for sitout status to resume.
