I just got an email from CD poker with the promotions. But in the email was also an interview with QuaDZa, a THF member. He always played the $100 added fridays on CD poker.

Not a really active member but still a member in the spotlight. He didn't mention THF though.

When did you start playing Poker?
I got started in playing hold'em poker when some friends invited me to join them last year. We only played for fun and I was very attracted by it because I felt the "feeling" of winning even from the first game. I never imagined that I win real money from this hobby.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of playing online?
There are a lot of advantages in playing poker online. The most important is the fact that you can play tournaments anytime you want. In addition to this, you can enjoy the comfort of your own home, where nobody can disturb you, and I play very relaxed when my cat is sleeping at my feet. The disadvantage versus live poker is that you cannot read the opponent's physical reactions.

What is your most memorable hand of this event?
My most memorable hand of the event was a winning hand for sure: I was dealt 77, raised two-times the big-blind pre-flop, and one player called me. The flop was: 7AA. I bet out, but my opponent re-raised and obliged me to call. It was tempting to go all-in, but I tried not to scare him. The turn was J. I bet a half of my stack, and he moved all-in. I called him and we showed our cards. He flipped over AJ. I was devastated, but the dealer turned over the last 7 on the river. It was a lucky win, but only these wins are memorable.

Tell us about your most memorable bad beat story, either for or against you...
It was on a 6 players' table ring game. I raised pre-flop with KK and one player called me. The flop was JJ8. I checked and he also checked. The turn was J. I bet and he called me. The river was 7. I was sure that he didn't have the last J, but I was very sure he also had a lower full. So I decided to let him make a decision. He bet 10*BB and I went all-in. He called and showed JT suited. It was a stupid bet, but what were the odds to be called pre-flop from one player and he had had the last J?

How did you hear about the CD Poker Tour?
Some friends of mine insisted that I try playing in the CDPT qualifiers to get into the weekly and monthly events. I also saw at the main page at CDPoker and it sounded interesting. So I started playing the qualifiers and after some top finishes, I started thinking at the final standings of the month.

Why are you playing on the CDPoker Tour?
CDPT is one of the best leagues I have ever tried. The schedule and the ranking structure are both very well organized and the prizes are very good. You win money at the qualifiers, weekly, and monthly events and you also win money at final rankings. It's wonderful.

What makes you a good poker player?
To be a good player you must have more experience that you can get in at least one year of daily poker. In playing poker you need also to be lucky sometimes. A good tournament player is the person who knows how to maximize his winning hands and most importantly when to FOLD.

Anything you would like to add?
I want to thank CDPoker for creating the CDPoker Tour and I hope that more players will join because it's a great challenge.

- Every week CDPoker will publish a winner's interview in the CDPoker Newsletter.

- At the end of the last season, players will be asked to choose one winner's interview. The chosen winner will join the CDPoker delegation to represent us at a land-based tournament.
