kinda fishy

now im not one to post bad beats, but this was a very weird chain of events in the same rebuy tourny, every1 was loose but this is weird and it did not only happen to me but to 3 others just at my table as well. here is the email i sent to send support:

First off i would just like to say that im a respected member of Texasholdemforums.com who has a partnership with cdpoker and it was through that site that i was referred to cd poker. I have been playin on cd everyonce in a while for a few months now, as i mostly play on poker stars. i have had a few losses here but nothing out of the usual until today and this was very unusual. in the 15 years that ive been playing poker, and 4 online, ive never seen anything like this.
i was playin in the 10 dollar buy in 2500 guaranteed tourny that started at 9pm eastern time today. So about 2 blind rounds into it i get ak suited so i raise and the guy 2 seats to my left goes allin, so i call. he has a10 off suit. i have him dominated but u guess it a 10 came on the river, so i rebuy and think nothing of it. a little later i have jq suited, flop comes j76, so i bet and a guy reraises so i call. turn comes 9 so it gives some one a double gutshot. i bet small again he calls. turn is a 5. he puts me and another guy all in,that guy calls, so i fold thinkin he just hit runner runner and sure enough he shows the 8x and the other guy has j10. but it made me think, did he know he was gunna hit running gutshot cards to hit his straight to beat my jacks. so a little later i raise preflop 4x bb with kq. 2 guys call. board comes A34 all of hearts and my king is heart so i bet. only 1 calls. turn is a x, river is a h giving me akhigh flush. he raises all in, hes got 25hearts giving him a straight flush, but then this really made me think why would he call my big raise with 25suited, did he know he was going to hit his straight flush. so i rebought again, a total of 4 times all together and a few hands later i got rivered again, i dont exactly remember this hand but i do know i was a 8 to1 favorite going to the river. so the last time i bought in and 2 hands later i get aq suited, so i raise 3x the blind. the same bully at the table that has rivered me 2 times already raises me all in. hes got a9 off so again im a huge favorite, ace on the flop, blank on the turn, and you guessed it 9 on the river.
at this point i am furious. stuff like this just doesnt keep happening over and over. i know it will happen 1 in 4 times but not everytime, and not with peculiar callers everytime.

im going to post this on THF and let them know about this but i think you should look into this. something has to be wrong with the software, unless u like to reward the underdogs everytime, and have people that can see the cards b4 they come out.

im not asking to be reimbursed for my buyins and rebuys. im just wanting an explanation and some kind of resolve to this situation.

if not i will cash out my remaining funds and not play here again, aswell as spread the word to my forum mates, and freinds who play here.

CD poker didn't do anything wrong here, you just got beat by the same player over and over. Yes he made alot of stupid calls but sometimes stupid plays are rewarded. Don't be a sore loser.

Jro34 - i have said time and time again that if a poker company was ripping off members, we would not advertise it here. You are suggesting otherwise - and i dont know why. Have i ever been biased towards one company? Sure, dont get me wrong, ive encouraged members to play at our cd poker games - one reason being that out of 50 companies ive contacted theyre one of the 5 that have replied and along with pokerstars, respond to queries within a few days (try weeks or months for other poker companies....6 emails to ladbrokes in the last year...not one reply). So when i find a site that will accomodate members here with games i do my best to get members to turn up....but im not biased. If cd poker were scamming people they wouldnt be advertised here. I have did my best to protect members being ripped off - and always will do my best to do just that

Being brutally honest, i cant believe you have posted this. You are one of the last people who i would have believed would get pissed by this. You got beat 4 times...it happens. Thats poker. Last week on party, AA, KK and AA all ins all got busted. Doesnt mean partys fixed it up to give the underdog the cash

Do you honestly think cd poker have spent millions on software licenses so that they can rip you off by rivering you.CD Poker are part of the i poker network - we have had problems in the past because they dont have an inhouse software package. The software is designed from an outside company - software which is used by dozens of poker sites and is regulated.

Keep your chin up and im sure youll do better next time

to clarify... im not biased and im not really pissed, and im defininatly not being a sore loser, i would take a dump on the 40 that i lost in this tourny. i just thought it was fishy that these things were happening. also i did not mean to accuse cdpoker of cheating me, i dont know if i came off that way. i was accusing a couple people at my table of making some extremely fishy reraises when they were huge underdogs, and just happen to hit their hand a few cards later, it happened to me 7 times in this half hour period. i talked to support on the site and told her i thought these players might be cheating. she told me to email cdsupport about what happened.
to explain to tvaal better, it wasnt just the same guy and it wasnt just me this was happening to. it was a few guys at my table for about a half an hour making either extremely horrible plays and gettin extremely lucky everytime, or they were cheating. and it happened to a few others also.
hope that clears up the post a little better.

thats good they replied - i wonder if theyll get back to you on it. Do you think theyll actually look into it?

perhaps the guy was cheating (im not ignorent to the fact that collusion exists at some tables. )

Bad beats but you definately have to take into consideration that it was a rebuy. was at 1st table with pbdrunks the other day and he rebought twice after every hand and went ALL IN every hand for the entire 1st hour. Figure he spent well over $600.

jro24 I'm amuzed. It may seem fishy but it happens. Tell me, if you see two royal flushes in a row you may think thats fishy. What are the odds? I know for a fact that it has happened somewhere at some poker table or at some poker site. back to my point i will tell you my story today. Some of you know that I haven't been playing poker for about 40 days. Tonight, a supervisor hosted a tournament were the winner took a 300 chip set. I wanted to help the guy so I figured I could deal. I got this guy at my table Who didn't even knew hand ranks before he got there. I gave him a paper with the rankings and started playing. The guy was betting very oddly and ended up shortstack. The bigstack at the table knew he was a newbie and put him all in. He called and flipped 5 6 of diamonds. bigstack flops pocket rockets. newbie rivers the flush. ok first bad beat. Later on the game he won a couple of hands and was able to put a friend all in. My friend had two pair, he rivers the straight. three hands later another friend goes all in. He calls with QQ and my friends had two pairs, aces and fives. He rivers a queen. Thats the third bad beat. We get moved into final table of seven people. 30 minutes later we are down to five and I'm not dealing anymore. The supervisor, a very good player with many years of experience and some online experience, has been bluffing every now and then but he's not getting cards so he's just hanging there. he goes all in with 77; the newbie flips q3. flop comes 7kj. turn 9, river 10. supervisor out. 4th bad beat by the newbie. He was competing for bigstack with another guy. He gets the fourth place to go all in preflop. He calls with AQ, the newbie flips 63 off. Flop comes with an ace, turn 6, river 3. 5th bad beat. three players left. He manages to put the shortstack all in again. they both flop 46, the shortstack suited. He gets flushed by the newbie. Finally heads up. The other guy plays him really well and puts him all in post flop. He calls with 73 spades, The other guy has KK. newbie loses to flopped four of a kind. 2 out of 12 in his first ever poker game with 7 bad beats included. He wins a hat and goes to sleep happy. Now tell me, was he cheating? We are talking about a live game. Imagine how all of this players (6 in total) felt when they went out to the biggest newbie in poker 2 hours ago.

again i think you missed my point jvelez but interesting story.
