Default NL100

First off, hey guys. Haven't been around for a while.

Secondly, I just got back into playing online poker a little over a week ago. I've never been a no limit cash game player, but I decided to get into that this time around. My main reason is that I don't want to be tied down for hours in MTTs, and fixed limit cash games which I used to only play have just gotten too boring.

Anyway, I've made a little over $1000 in the last 11 days (67 hours of playing). Clearly things have been going well for me and I'm feeling really comfortable at the tables. But I'm still trying to learn some better strategies and cut down on mistakes that I'm making.

So I'm posting here to hopefully get some advice from people that play these limits.

Over 5200 hands, my VPIP is 14.5, PFR is 11, and attempt to steal blinds is 30.

I was 4-tabling earlier today and I noticed that I was playing very tight without even thinking about it. Then I realized that I started out in the first few days playing quite loose-aggressive (like 18 and 14) but lately its been closer to 12 and 10 or 11 (VPIP and PFR).

In general, it would be great to have a running discussion with someone who's successfull at NL50, 100, or 200.

Hi kikolo, good to hear from you again. Sounds like you're going well at the tables. I play cash games only when I need to. I don't often play above 25NL 6max, so my thoughts probably are not of use here.

I tend to play mostly loose aggressive or at least that's my intention when I sit down.
I normally load just one or two tables. If I'm playing more than 2 tables my game will tighten up considerably.

I've never been a big fan of 6-max tables, probably because the amount of stealing and bluffing there is much higher than at full ring. I've only recently started playing multiple tables for NL100. I started off with one for most of the hours I've played, then added another when I felt like I could handle it. And just yesterday was the first time I went for more than 2 (and I went with 4 since it fits on my screen better than 3).

And it probably was the fact that I was seeing 4 times as many hands that I tightened up because I didn't need to create action for myself (such as playing a wider variety of hands and spots).

The only big thing I noticed change was that I attempted to steal with fewer hands like AXs which I will usually do from the button or cutoff.

Yeah I know what your saying and with 4 tables going I do the same. Much tighter, less reliant on reads and wait for the good spots. How are your profits differing when youre multitabling as oppose to a more aggressive style when playing less tables? I suppose it's too early to tell that - but you might have a feel for how you're doing.

If JayC170, Dinero etc were here you'd get some more feedback on cash games.
I'll give the lazy arses a shout when I see them.

Just to be clear, by NL100 do you mean NL $1.00 or NL 100.00? And if it is NL $1.00 is $1.00 the big blind?

I assumed NL100 meant a $100 buyin...so $.50/$1 blinds?

You often play those stakes don't you wisak?

Yeah I mean $1 big blind, $0.50 small blind, and I buy-in for $100. I've been playing the 50BB minimum because I hate playing against smaller stacks.

Actually earlier today I made a fatal mistake by trying to bluff a small stack but I didn't realize he did not have much money on the table. I had a pretty good read that he was weak and my bet would more than likely have made him fold his bottom pair, but he had less than half of that at the table so he was priced into calling.

Also, I'm using PokerTracker 3 that has a heads-up display (HUD) that gives me the stats I have on my opponents. So while I don't get to focus on each hand at each table when I'm 4-tabling, I still have plenty of information on my opponents to make decisions on. For anyone reading this, it is a fantastic tool that every single player should have if you are regularly playing against the same people.
