That may not be the perfect example. The thing is, at post flop betting. You know when the flop comes and you don't have a dominant hand, and you place a continuation bet? The preflop caller reraises and you feel like your beat? I still chase sometimes hoping he's bluffing but knowing in my guy he's not. That's the thing that still gets me. Happened last nite with AKs. Flop comes Axx. I keep betting, he keeps calling. Goes all in on the river. I know he's got at least 2 pr or a set. Call anyway. Set of 2's. That usually happens early in a session for me. Then I tighten up and start making back my losses. Have to find a way to avoid the early dump.

I have been playing more and more ring games than tournaments lately primarily for the flexibility. I can come and go as I please and if my fire department gets paged out I'm not letting any money go like I would if I were playing a sit and go or multi-table tournament. Plus sit and go tournaments can take up to an hour to finish and multi-table tournaments can go on for hours and hours if you do well enough. If you play the lower buy in multi table tournaments (1.00, 2.00, 3.00) you will have to play at least 2-3 hours to make the money and a lot of times you will net a couple of bucks if you just barely make the money. I have also been playing more and more on Full Tilt Poker rather than Poker Stars. One game I like on Full Tilt is No limit Cap. Depending on the blind level you choose, there is a maximum that can be bet on any hand. For example at the .05/.10 level the most anyone can bet on any hand is $7.50, at the .10/.25 level the maximum is $15.00. Whereas the amount you can win on any one hand is limited, there is no restriction to the amount you can bet at any point of the hand (up to the maximum of course). Having a maximum that can be bet lessens the pain when your aces get cracked. I also like to play non-hold'em games for a bankroll boost. Razz has been a profitable game for me. One nice thing about Razz is there are no flushes, straights, full houses etc.. to worry about and it is really to tell where you stand on the hand with the cards your opponent(s) are showing.
