Angry Restrictions on Cake Cashouts

Tell me, did Cake sponsor our recent freerolls there? If so, can someone tell me here that that was the case, then ignore the rest of this. If not then read on....

I tried to cash out some of my dosh on Cake. I was informed that this was refused because the money was freeroll winnings and I hadn't done the 100 raked hands required.

Excuse me? Hang on!

I can understand this applying to their own freerolls, but to apply it to money won in private tournies is surely out of order. If THF provided the money, then that is a deposit on behalf of the players who then share it out on merit. I don't see that it matters where the money comes from, if it is anyone other than Cake then it is a deposit. How it got into my account is a private matter between THF, myself and my fellow competitors.

So this restriction is wrong, yes? Could someone please get back to me on this, and if appropriate get back to Cake too.

Thanks.

P.S. They have a minimum Cash out of $50, just in case anyone didn't know.

I do not know how Fonze arranged the freeroll however, it is possible that THF and Cake made an agreement where Cake poker provides the cash for the freeroll in exchange for members of our site to go try out their waters.

I'm sure the Cake representitive can, and would like to address this himself. Fonze might also be able to clarify a bit of the information I just gave as I do not ensure its validity.

This is one thing that I don't like about sites, AP is the same where the min dep is lower than the min withdrawal.....I like sites like VC etc, that let you withdraw any amount you like.....it all seems a bit silly to me, I had $58 in Cake last night and just wanted to withdraw $30 but had to with draw $50 so today I'll make the min deposit again and all the time pay my NT handling fee.

Hmmm I've wondered if you could change your currency settings.....as for the handling fee, don't quote me but I'm sure it says on their site somewhere that there is a 1.9% charge....????

I don't think you lose anything on the exchange, although I could of course be more than wrong on that also....???

Hola,

The freerolls were from Cake, so the raked hands requirements would apply. I'm the game's designer and I'm unfortunately not responsible for the buisiness requirements. Although 100 hands was set up to that folks would experience the Gold Cards and Cake Slices prior to leaving the site after a tournament, where those aren't seen.

We've no plans to deal with WU for the current future.

Doug
